It takes a lot of silk to make them. Silk is a protein fiber and cannot be produced in the United States, making it expensive to import.

Silk can only be washed and dried by hand. Since silk is a very delicate product, we need to take care of it as much as possible. Always use neutral pH liquids and/or emollient cleansers.

Silk is a natural fiber, and washing in too much acid or alkali solution can cause the silk to harden after a single wash. If you can’t find a pH-based detergent, choose Silk Detergent. Do not use bleach products.

We try to emphasize the colors of our products online as much as possible. But the exact color depends on your monitor and we cannot guarantee that every color on your monitor will be the same.

Also, unlike other fabrics, silk is lighter in weight. The ideal size of silk is due to its triangular shape, which resembles the lines of silk, allowing the silk to reflect light from different angles and take on different colors. When the angle of the light changes, they make the ground flow through color changes.

Strengthen your skin and look like they are not the same color as silk patted. Therefore, the color of the product you receive may vary depending on the light.

Traditional pillowcases won’t “slip off” and damage hair and delicate facial skin. Silk pillowcases allow smooth contact with your skin, while cotton can scratch and tug on the delicate facial skin, causing premature stretching and sleep wrinkles.

Synthetic satin is an inferior petroleum-based alternative to real silk. So silk is the best fabric that can help you sleep

Traditionally silk can only be hand washed and dry cleaned. Our silk products are of high quality so they can be machine washed, but they are still silk and require us to take care of them as much as possible. Always use a pH neutral liquid detergent and/or fabric softener.

Silk is a natural fiber and washing in solutions that are too acidic or alkaline can cause the silk to harden in a single wash, do not use bleach products. Another important factor is the water temperature. Even just a little above 30 degrees Celsius or 85 degrees Fahrenheit changes the silk significantly.

If your machine doesn’t specify a precise heat setting, the safest bet is cold or just one level above cold. If you want to maximize the life of your pillowcase, hand washing is the ultimate method.

Also try not to dry the pillowcases. Drying silk pillowcases is the best option, as drying will change the silk fibers.

Silk is a natural product with a unique smell derived from sericin, the protein “glue” that silkworms use to bind silk threads together into cocoons.

The more refined the silk, the less sericin remains on the sericin, but even the most refined silk contains about 10-15% sericin. Some people mistake odors for chemical additives, but you can rest assured that our silk products have not been exposed to any harmful chemicals at any stage of production.

On the other hand, sericin has some great health benefits such as antioxidant and UV protection. In our experience, the smell is usually strongest when you first open the silk from the express package, as the smell has nowhere to dissipate.

Once the package is opened, it usually takes only a short time for the smell to become barely noticeable.

Silkworm cocoons can be thought of as exfoliants that can help remove excess oil from the cuticle and face. It works especially well on pores around the oily T-zone of the nose and forehead.

Absolutely. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure they meet the very strict international Oeko-Tex® Standard 100.

If you buy cheaper silk pillowcases online or in stores, you may not know what you’re really buying, and many of those silk pillowcases use dyes that are harmful to your body.

We work with one of the largest and longest-running silk suppliers in the world. They take great pride in the quality of the silk they produce.

It’s like silk, like many things in life; you get what you pay for.
