Buy Antique French Bedspread Pillow Shams Bullion on Silk Embroidered Set

This is an exquisite antique silk bedspread/throw and pillow sham set. The set is from the 1920s, and it was made in France (per label attached), and it is embroidered over the entire body of the spread and the pillows in cream threads and silver bullion threads in a “feathers and circles” quilted pattern. The spread is puffy and filled with cotton as are the pillow shams. The shams tie in the back with ribbons.

The condition is good antique. There is some silk shredding on the edge of one of the pillows and into the body a little bit. The other pillow is perfect with no shredding, rips, tears or stains. There is a very small soil smudge on the back. The spread is in excellent condition with a small and short amount of shredding on the border edge at the bottom. A new silk border could be added to all edges to cover this. No rips, holes, tears, rot, shredding or stains in the body of the spread. The set presents beautifully.

The spread measures 72″ long and is 69″ wide The pillow shams measure 32″ across the diameter. I am including the pillow inserts that came with the set.
