All measurements are taken with the garment lying flat and measuring from seam to seam. As sizes are inconsistent from manufacturer to manufacturer (especially in vintage clothing), I strongly recommend you check the measurements closely before purchasing.
A good guideline is to measure a similar piece of clothing you already own that fits you well, and compare the measurements. Please do not rely on size alone–that way you will avoid disappointment and I will continue to have happy customers 🙂
